800 people in Yorkshire have escaped driving bans despite having 12 penalty points on their licence

According to a recent study over 800 people in Yorkshire have managed to escape a driving ban despite having 12 penalty points or more on their licence.

According to the DVLA some drivers have as many as 30 penalty points. Below is a full link to the story from BBC Look North’s Facebook page.

At Road Law Barristers we know that it’s not that difficult to rack up penalty points, especially if you consider that driving a vehicle with a defective light and tyres could attract 6 points alone.

If you are facing disqualification under the totting up procedure get in touch as we can help.
